Not a good experience at all. We went through a mortage broker and were told we had no choice in who they used as an appraiser. He ran our credit card as soon as they recieved the card number. (For over 100 dollars more than we were quoted) Then weeks went by and nothing more was done. Our closing day came and went....still nothing. I finally had to say I was going to call the credit card company and have them reverse the charges before the appraisal was done. Then it was a few days before it was sent to the underwriter. The final straw was when it was rejected by the underwriters for being incomplete. Fortunately the sellers were good people, and they waived any late charges.
I would not ever use this appraiser again.
