If you can avoid using StreetLinks, you'll do yourself a favor!

Had an appraisal done by "Michelle Ruhl" appeal reviewed by "Neil Goldstein"

I just finished a $ 200,000.00 complete build out and renovation of my home, got it appraised at $ 520.000,00 from another appraiser just three months earlier, switched lender to First Financial due to a better rate, unfortunately they use StreetLink who then appraised my home at $ 390,000.00. 25% below!

I appealed the appraisal due to comps used, older homes, half the size, some comps used were houses not sold, that needs work and had been sitting on the market for lenghts of time and therefor reduced several times. With the appeal, I submitted the three month old appraisal, but to no help, as the desk appraiser, Neil Goldstein, stood firm to their own, the appraisal, they claimed to be valid.

Sorry, just talked with the loan officer at First Financial, she had been asked not to forward the previous appraisal. Apparently, StreetLink was already decided to stick to their own, before the appeal, just wanted the extra money!

I suggest it's time for a review of this industry!
