Sarah arrived at my house 20 minutes late. She was obviously in a bad mood and was curt to the point of rudeness when asked a question. My home is on 2 acres in a country setting with beautiful mountain views, it is fenced for horses and has a corral and tack building. This home has had a metal roof installed and log sided in the past 1 1/2 years. She compared my home to two small homes on 1/4 acre city lots that were nothing like my home and to a home that was a cash sale because the banks would not loan on the dilapidated house. She valued my home at $25,000 less than what it was appraised for last November and I have had an MQS 24X32 metal shop with cement floor added to the property since then in December. In my opinion she needs retraining in how to appraise a home and property. I have been told from others that she has low appraised many properties in the valley. I do not know if she has an agenda, but I will request that she is never sent to appraise any properties I may be involved with.
