Absolutely unprofessional rude and has a criminal background of battery which doesn't surprise me with the way he spoke to me over the phone. This guy owns his own business so he seems to feel nothing is his problem. He came and did an appraisal on my house knowing closing date was supposed to be 7/15. He got us the appraisal report on 7/07 which stated we needed paint on our garage and back step handle to get re painted. Our buyer sent over painters immediately and our buyers agent took pictures as proof that the paint was fixed. We didn't hear anything back the following Monday which I thought was strange only to hear back Tuesday, 7/13 that he wasn't going to make it out to our property until 7/14 (day before closing) and it was going to take 3-4 days for him to file the report the paint was fixed when he knew from the start this all had to be done by 7/15. I called him and politely asked if there was any possible way we could speed up the process where he could come out that day (7/13) or I send him a picture. I explained we're scheduled to close on our new home 7/16 and we can't do that unless we close on our current home and we have movers scheduled and we're on a serious time crunch. He immediately got defensive, started yelling at me and he didn't care and that it wasn't his problem. He also stated it's people like me and the incompetent realtor he spoke to with who makes his job hard and he's up to his neck in appraisals. I then asked if I could just send a picture if he was so busy with getting to different homes. That set him off more and said HE has to be the one to take pictures it's a government law (which it isn't, pictures are allowed as proof of repairs where the appraiser doesn't need to come back out.) he then said "you know what since you felt the need to call me so you're at my mercy I'm not coming back out til next week so you have to wait even longer!" He then hung up the phone, and called our buyers agent and said he is not completing this job because I threatened him (absolutely not true) and that he felt I was going to attack him if he stepped foot on our property. I felt he had an anger issue and I was correct after discovering he has a criminal record of battery and spent 9 months in jail and had 2 years probation. Luckily our realtor and our buyers realtor is working through the mess he caused. He completely screwed up everything for our buyers, my husband and me, and the seller of our new home and he does not care at all. If you want a job done do not contact him for your home appraisals!
