I found Frank Ganong to be thorough and professional, also personable. His appraisal was far more complete and well written than one I'd had a few years before, noting features and items both pro and con that previous appraisals and even inspections had missed
From my experience, there are two types of appraisers and inspectors: those who do thorough, independent work...and those who do quick and dirty work in the service of whoever is paying. Frank is the former.
I recommend him.

Mr Ganong was hired to appraise my home. He was horrible. I did not allow him to finish the appraisal. He overstepped his bounds by trying to inspect my home. That is not what he was hired for. He did not know the difference between an appraisal and an inspection?? Come on.. the man is an idiot to think I would allow him to talk and treat me the way he did. He was rude, condisending, and tried to talk down to me like I was stupid and didn't know he was not doing the job he was there for. If I wanted an inspector, I would have hired an inspector. I wanted an appraisal and got a jackass. I would not recommend this man to anyone. It was just horrible.
