John Ogden appraised my daughters purchase of a condominium in Baton Rouge LA. He mismeasured the condominium, coming in 100 sq.ft short of the Architect certified square footage of 1369 sq.ft. In addition he made the economic value of the all electric condominium SUBJECT TO the installation of a carbon monoxide detector which makes the lender require a reinspection after it is installed in the home and prior to closing of the loan. A $40 detection device in an all electric residence has $0 economic value and because it does not have any gas connection on this 2nd floor unit it is not possible that carbon monoxide poisoning could occur. He Charged $500 for the appraisal and then charged another $250 to go take a picture of the carbon monoxide detector. This $250 charge is an absolutely greedy money grab on the part of Mr. John Ogden.
