When this "appraiser" is at your door, please tell her you changed your mind, and send her home!
I live in the most beautiful condo in Tarrytown, NY. Ms. Farina spent good twenty minutes measuring the rooms in our row house condo. I got the lowest appraisal, my Chase adviser laughed out loud at the numbers. I lost a good chance to refinance.
Two months later my house was appraised by a different appraiser the numbers doubled!
