Mark should not be an appraiser. unfortunately, when I buy a home I cannot select the property appraiser and I had the poor luck of working with Mark twice. The first time the home we were looking to purchase for $300,000, in Mark's opinion, was worth $230,000. The second time, 6 months later, he appraised another home $55,000 less than what the contract and market value of the home was.Once appealed, Mark ignored the fact that he used comparable properties that sold 8 months ago and that are located 10 miles away - in another city and zip code! This is absolutely unacceptable and he should not be allowed to be an appraiser. He has directly cost my family $25,000 by not being able to do his job properly and he has misplaced my family twice. Due to his professional negligence, Mark will soon be facing our lawsuit. My advice would be to run away from him and his business.
