I purchased my home 5 years ago 'as is'. The home needed a good number of improvements so I got a great deal. At the time of closing it appraised for over $1,000,000. Since then the general market has improved. We added an addition of over 30o sq ft and an additional bedroom. We had it appraised and according to Ray it went DOWN in value almost $200k. The bottom line is that Ray paid too much attention to the original sales price and ignored obvious comps.
the bank we dealt with refused to get another appraisal and we took our business elsewhere.
