I recently refinanced my home for the second time and went VA, on the advice of the bank loan officer. No appointment was made with me for the appraisal, he just showed up. RUDE! He was here so I let him in, to do his thing, since I didn't want to hold the loan up. He took pictures and measurements like they often do, and then he was gone. I waited a week and gave him a call, to see if the appraisal was completed...nothing. I understand that appraisers are doing appraisals for the loan companies, or in this case the VA, but as a consumer, and the one paying for the appraisal, not contacting me back is...RUDE! I finally got a copy of the appraisal from the bank, and while it looked pretty professional, it was not totally accurate. I have an in ground pool that was here when I originally bought the house, and I find it unprofessional or experience lacking that the pool was given zero value on the appraisal. The two previous appraisers, one for the original purchase and one for another refinance, both gave the pool a 25% value, since there were no comparables close by. After doing some research of my own online, I find this is very common. I have a wood shop attached to the back of the garage, and it was given a value, even though there were no other comparables in the area, so not to give the pool any kind of value is lacking in experience I am assuming. I understand not everyone wants a nice pool in their back yard, but it is an appraisable item, and to say most people would not want one, and give the pool zero value, is not using good appraisal common sense...in my opinion, and most other appraisers opinion. I would not recommend this appraiser to anyone, since I have delt with much more professional appraisers in the past.

I have had over 150 appraisal done in my career . Robert is by far the most knowledgeable and professional appraisers. He really takes his work serious and thrives to do the best you can do for you . I would HIGHLY recommend him for all your appraisal needs

Robert was top notch in every way!!! I was totally impressed with his knowledge and ability to appraise my house. He went above and beyond to make sure the appraisal was correct and first class.. The mortgage company underwriter even expressed how she was impressed also on How Thorough his appraisal was.. With this being said I would HIGHLY recommend Robert for all your appraisal needs😬

Robert Hall preformed (2) appraisals for me to help assist with determining the value of my real estate prior to listing the homes for sale.
I wanted a professional to help assist with determining the real estate values (using comps) versus using the values as set forth by the real estate agent.
Robert also assisted with expert testimony at trial for my divorce settlement.
As a real estate developer and working within the real estate industry for the past 20 years I was very impressed and pleased with his appraisal services. Robert was very engaged, thoughtful, and timely.

Mr. Hall was at our home 30 minutes after we called him to see if he could appraise our home. We were shocked. He said he would have the apprasial to us within that week. Two weeks later, he still has not provided us with the appraisal. We called him a few times everyday, and he would not call us back. When we finally reached him (through the help of our realtor), he made an excuse that he was moving offices and did not have interet service to be able to complete our report. He called me back and said he couldn't find our file so he would need to come back to our home and re-do the appraisal. He was only there 10 minutes. I had to take off work to come back and meet him there. He promised me he would have it finished by mid-afternoon on that day. He never emailed us the appraisal. By 9pm, we decided he was not going to ever email us the appraisal, so we asked him for our money back. He did not respond until the next day, in which he told us he could mail us a check back, but that he has the appraisal ready for us. I do not believe a word he says. If he was having issues, he could have called us to tell us he needed more time. We are very understanding people, but he does not communicate what-so-ever. We are extremely unsatified. Now, we will wait for the refund check, which he will probably never mail.
