I highly recommend Steve Stevarius as an appraiser. He is courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. His appraisal came in almost exactly as I had been advised regarding the value of the house. No problems.

Steve received the appraisal 9/1 for a closing for 9/25. Plenty of time. Steve finally went to the home for the appraisal inspection on Sept 22. Again we were supposed to close on the 25th. He finally returned the appraisal report incomplete on the 25th. Day of closing. Completely unresponsive for a follow up. We finally got him to follow up on this appraisal on Oct 4 pushing the closing date out 10 days. Unacceptable

As many others have said - Steve is worthless.  His appraisal put my home less than $11/sq ft lower than other homes with 1/2 the upgrades.  I tried calling him many times after the appraisal and emailed him at least 3 times.  He doesn't respond.  Went to my bank and told them I was contesting as is my legal right.  They have contacted him 3 times and he won't call them back either.  DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!

 Never use this idiot. This company this appraiser will undermine your property. If you were trying to get a  loan and you want your property appraised do not use this guy he will for sure under appraise your property

Appraiser at final inspection would not change anything!! Same house in neighborhood on a slab was selling for more than ours and he would not take this into consideration. He is one lousy appraiser.

As a property owner I would never use this guy! Unfortunately for us
He was the luck of the draw for the mortgage company! Even thought he had all the addendums showing how much was spent on the house  he appraised it for 46k less! Said he did not have to count a finished basement in a new construction house! Plus he had the sq footage wrong on the appraisal!!
