When the company contracting Steve called and gave me his info I immediately contacted him.  As it was the holidays I didn’t expect the job would get done right away but a return call setting things up didn’t seem unreasonable.  Nope!  And apparently the people contracting him could find him either.  They called me twice over the next two weeks looking for him.  Must have been embarrassing having to contain your customer looking for your “employee”...twice.  I finally heard back after two weeks...Steve’s not in a hurry!

I wasn’t at the house when he did the appraisal but had a neighbor meet him and made myself available by phone.  Never heard from him!  I have no idea where he got his final number but he appears to have used older sales and houses outside the neighborhood.  He came in over 15% lower than what houses in our neighborhood and Traverse City in general are selling for.  And we have a larger lot in a nicer location than any other in the development.  And just put $35,000 into remodeling over the last year.

Doing a professional job starts with returning a phone call...Steve didn’t get that far.
