Mr. Silverman was a horrible appraiser. There was a home that sold in our neighborhood of 21 houses directly behind us and he never used it as a comp. The house sold 2 months before our house and the same builder was used for all the houses in the neighborhood. So all the homes were very similar. He appraised our home for a low number knowing very well that we had an agreement with a buyer without a real estate agent. The appraisal was $7,000.00 less than the agreed upon price. The buyers and sellers were shocked at his appraisal and the fact that he did not use the home in our neighborhood. I would not recommend Mr. Silverman for any home appraisal in the immediate area.
