Just had an appraisal by this guy (not my choice--Cal Vet picked this appraiser).  Appraiser really screwed up--said the house we wanted to buy was 1255 sq. feet when tax records and building permits show it to be 1414 sq. feet.  We may not be able to buy this house now because of the appraiser's screw up.  Worst experience I have ever had in purchasing a home--do not use this appraiser if you have a choice.

There is a reason this man is on the Indy Mac Do-Not-Use list (Google it). He repeatedly ignored instructions from the bank and then the VA to correct his error-ridden appraisal. He would not return phone calls or emails from officials, and everything he was given to complete before a deadline was late. He is arrogant and ignorant, and I am being easy on him. If we can figure out a way to strip him of his license, we will. Working on it...
