We have had the displeasure to have Mr. Rodney Curry as our appraiser and to say the least, major items have been overlooked during his walk-through. Egregious errors were made on his appraisal report such as inadequate comps (sold properties that were either too old or in poor condition) and a complete refusal to take into consideration upgrades and improvements to the subject property which would have contributed to a more accurate valuation. Lenders beware of the company Mr. Curry works for – Initech Appraisals in Houston, TX. They kept postponing our appraisal for almost 3 weeks, literally waiting until the last minute to conduct the on-site appraisal. It is obvious that the report was rushed, given very little thought and consideration of recent comparable sales and missing adjustments.
